ADMINISTRATOR

CARROTY WOOD, TONBRIDGE, KENT

We are currently looking to appoint a full-time Administrator at our centre in Tonbridge Kent. They will play a key role within our busy outdoor adventure centre which is set amidst beautiful ancient woodlands.

The successful candidate will have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. Key responsibilities will include assisting in the bookings process, liaising with customers and supporting the Centre Leadership Team. Attention to detail and a friendly telephone manner are essential.

This is a full-time position – 37.5 hours per week

Hours: 08:45 – 17:15 Monday to Friday

Salary – £17,000 per annum

There is an Occupational Requirement (OR) that the person appointed to this role is a practising Christian.

SENIOR INSTRUCTOR

FRONTIER CENTRE, NORTHAMPTONSHIRE

Do you love adventure? Are you an experienced activity professional with a desire to serve in Christian mission? At Rock UK, we are a Christian organisation that is passionate about developing young people, bringing adventure into learning in the outdoors, to transform lives. As Senior Instructor you will report to and assist the Chief Instructor with leading and motivating a team of instructors and trainees at Rock UK’s largest centre in Northamptonshire. The Senior Instructor is an exciting role in an organisation where you will have opportunity to actively deliver Rock UK’s Christian mission, aims and objectives in an adventurous context and develop personally as a leading activity instructor.

Full Time 37.5 hours per week

Location: Frontier Centre, Northamptonshire (with occasional UK travel)

Salary: £17,500pa – £18,500pa (negotiable depending on experience & qualifications) + pension contribution

CHIEF INSTRUCTOR

FRONTIER CENTRE, NORTHAMPTONSHIRE

Activity Instructor

Frontier Centre, Northamptonshire

Rock UK Adventure Centres Ltd is looking to appoint a full time Instructor for an immediate start at our centre in Irthlingborough, Northamptonshire.

This post is for a multi-activity instructor and the successful applicant should have the following minimum qualifications:

Single Pitch Award (SPA) or UKCC Level 2 canoe and kayak coach

Salary is in the region of £14,625 per annum depending on experience.

Seasonal Instructor

Summit Centre, South Wales

Rock UK Adventure Centres have a vacancy for a seasonal instructor based at our Summit Centre near Merthyr Tydfil in South Wales for the summer period.

Applicants should have experience of working in an outdoor adventure centre and hold a first aid certificate.

It is essential for applicants to have their CWA award. It is desirable if applicants also have their SPA qualification.

The successful applicant will be involved in instructing on the climbing wall as well as on our new Aerial Adventure (high ropes) course. You will also cover reception and floor-walking duties.

Rock UK is a Christian charity and the successful candidate is expected to be sympathetic to the Christian faith.

Salary starts at £15,125 per annum with increments added for further qualifications.

Freelance Instructors

Summit Centre, South Wales

We are currently looking for a couple of freelance instructors to supplement our permanent team of instructors at Summit Centre.

Freelance staff are involved in instructing both in the climbing wall and on our new Aerial Adventure (High Ropes) course, floor-walking and covering reception.

We have opportunities available for both occasional and regular shifts.

Freelance staff should have an interest in climbing and sharing their passion for this sport with others.  They should have completed their CWA or SPA training.  Support is available to help gain the necessary qualifications.
