Updating and Improving Rock UK facilities

For young people to receive the best possible outdoor experience at Rock UK, adventure facilities and equipment must be regularly refreshed and updated. Your support, through one-off or regular gifts, will make it possible for existing facilities to be updated and new facilities to be planned for the future – each development, achieved through your support, will help young people to create positive memories for life.

Training, mentoring and discipleship

Together with our supporters, young adults can see their lives transformed through training, mentoring and discipleship courses such as the one or two year Rock UK Instructor Training Programme. Thanks to the generosity of our existing and new supporters (such as a trainee’s friends, families and churches) this programme is offered to our trainees at no cost.

“Without the bursary the children would not have been able to go on the residential trip which had such a positive impact on their learning.” Lucy, School Teacher

The Rock UK Bursary Fund – helping disadvantaged children to come to Rock UK

The Rock UK Bursary Fund means that no child misses out because their family can’t afford the trip.

It is thanks to the kind generosity of our supporters that hundreds of disadvantaged children, who otherwise would not have been able to afford a trip, have been given the chance to enjoy adventurous fun in the great outdoors with their friends.

How your support could impact a young person

Donations – All gifts one-off or regular will help to transform young lives at Rock UK, creating confident kids and creating memories for life.

Monthly – Donating each month can make a real difference to the lives of many young people.

A gift of just £4 per week or £12 a month could help to provide a bursary place for a disadvantaged child who might miss out on a life-changing trip to Rock UK.

£24 – could give a disadvantaged child the chance to try a new outdoor activity such as abseiling, helping them to grow in confidence and develop their mental resilience.

£59 – could give a young trainee instructor a life-transforming opportunity to reach their full potential through the provision of a skills-based one to one mentoring session.

Alternatively you can call any Rock UK centre to donate by phone or download our Donation Form. Numbers are listed on the footer of this page.  If you wish to donate to a specific centre or ITP, please indicate on the top right hand corner of the form.

Major Donations – These gifts allow Rock UK to significantly invest into the activity programme, enabling young people from all backgrounds and abilities the opportunity to benefit from an outdoor adventure experience. For example, a gift of £2,400 could help to cover the costs for 12 trainees to complete their National Governing Body qualifications, enabling them to lead groups of children and teenagers in outdoor adventure activities.

Fundraise for us – There are loads of different ways to raise money to support our mission, from running a quiz event, to collecting in your church, taking part in an adventure challenge, hosting a Turn Your World/School Orange event, the opportunities are endless!  Your support will help young people to transform their lives at Rock UK – thank you.

A Gift in your Will

Can you help us to continue providing outdoor residentials for young people?

For over 100 years, Rock UK has been providing outdoor residentials for young people.  Today, the need is as great as it was in 1922 when the first young people came on a summer break to our initial site – Belgrave House in West Sussex.  We have seen a huge increase in the needs of young people from all walks of life: they need an opportunity to be outside; they need to learn with others; they need to improve their self-belief and to develop their resilience!

By leaving a Gift in your Will, you have the power to change the lives of young people in the future through Outdoor Adventure and the love of God.

Thank you for thinking of leaving a gift to Rock UK in your Will.  Find out how to leave a gift to Rock UK in your Will
