Hours: 37.5 per week

Salary: £19,000 per annum (pay review pending)

Contract: Full-time, permanent

We are looking for a full-time Administrator to join our busy admin team at Whithaugh Park outdoor adventure centre – part of Rock UK, a Christian charity.  If you have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, this role could be for you.

The successful applicant will deal with all aspects of the bookings process for both residential groups and day visitors attending our centre.  You will liaise with customers by phone, email and in person, to take bookings, create programmes for their visit and answer all enquiries. Attention to detail and a friendly telephone manner are essential.  Experience with on-line booking systems and invoicing is highly desirable although full training will be provided.

The significant direct customer-facing aspects of the role require the post-holder to appropriately represent Rock UK’s Christian ethos and values to groups.

Hours per week: 9.30-5.30 pm (7.5 hours) on Thursdays and Fridays plus 1 Saturday in 2 (7.5 hours).  Average of 18.75 hours per week.

Salary: £9.50 per hour.

Contract Term: The post is permanent subject to satisfactory references, a Basic Disclosure check and a 6-month probationary period.

Cafe on the Rock is at the heart of Summit Centre, a multi activity and adventure centre.  We are looking for someone to join our team who will ensure that customers receive a first-class café experience. You will need to be reliable, hard-working and able to work under pressure with good interpersonal skills.  Previous experience of working in a hospitality environment and qualifications in food hygiene would be an advantage.

Contract Term: This is a permanent contract subject to satisfactory references, a satisfactory PVG check and a 6-month probationary period

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to deliver the highest standards of maintenance, repair and refurbishment of buildings, equipment, facilities and grounds around the centre, for the safety and benefit of our guests and staff. Reporting to the Assistant Centre Director, you will also guide and supervise the Facilities Assistant. You will need to work both independently and under direction, hold a full driving licence, have experience of plumbing, electrics and indoor and outdoor property maintenance. An understanding or appreciation of environmental issues is desirable.

You will need to have an understanding of Rock UK’s Christian ethos and a willingness to work within an environment that seeks to promote that ethos.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Chief Instructor to lead, motivate and develop a team of high quality instructors and trainees, ensuring industry best-practice and excellence in activity training and delivery. As a key member of the Centre Leadership Team, you will be able to clearly communicate our Christian ethos, objectives, mission and vision to staff and guests.

You will need to have experience of leading and motivating a staff team as well as strong interpersonal, organisational and communication skills.  The successful applicant will ideally need to hold the following qualifications: ML (S), RCI, 4*WW/Kayak and nationally recognised Mountain Biking Leader.

You will need to hold the following qualifications: Rock Climbing Instructor, 2 British Canoeing Leadership awards, Mountain Leader (summer), British Cycling MTB Leader Award level 2 and either British Canoeing Coaching Award – Open Canoe or White Water Kayak.  A 16-hour outdoor first aid certificate is also a requirement.  For the right candidate, Rock UK will support the continued progression in obtaining any awards listed but not held.

You will need to hold the following qualifications: Mountain Leader (summer), 3 of the following (or historical equivalent) White Water Kayak Leader Award, Canoe Leader Award (white water or open water), Rock Climbing Instructor, British Cycling MTB Award Level 2. A 16-hour outdoor first aid certificate is also a requirement. For the right candidate, Rock UK will support the continued progression in obtaining any awards listed but not held.

Rock UK is a Christian charity that is passionate about transforming young lives by bringing adventure into outdoor learning. Every year we welcome over 60,000 visitors from schools, churches and youth groups to Rock UK’s four activity centres spread throughout the UK.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced instructor to join our established, but growing team at Frontier Centre, Northamptonshire.  We are looking for a motivated individual to instruct adventure activity sessions at a large multi-activity centre.

As a key member of the activity team, you will be able to clearly communicate our Christian ethos and values to our guests.  You will need to work well both as part of a team and by yourself and should have experience of instructing a wide range of adventurous activities.

You should have instructor qualifications in any of the following activities: rock climbing, indoor climbing, paddle sports, archery. For the right candidate, Rock UK will support the continued progression in gaining further nationally recognised qualifications.
