A vacancy has arisen for a Centre Team Assistant who will assist with the daily task of providing excellent customer care and outstanding hospitality through the provision of a well prepared and maintained centre. Motivated by their Christian faith, the Centre Team Assistant will need to demonstrate a customer-centric mindset to our guests and staff. He or she will support the Centre Team Supervisor with the supervision and offer pastoral support for the volunteer team to ensure a level of outstanding hospitality.

The successful applicant will have strong communication and interpersonal skills with a willingness to listen and offer help where appropriate, experience of using Microsoft Office and will hold a valid driving licence.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Centre Team Supervisor who will lead the centre and volunteer teams, ensuring the provision of excellent customer care and outstanding hospitality with a first-class end-to-end guest experience. Motivated by their Christian faith, he or she will be able to clearly and sensitively communicate Rock UK’s Christian aims and ethos to staff and guests of all faiths and none.

The successful applicant will need to have experience of leading and motivating a staff team, strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to think logically and creatively to meet outcomes. He or she will need to have excellent organisational and administrative skills and will need to hold a current driving licence.

We are looking for a receptionist to positively and efficiently present Rock UK at the first stage of the guest experience of welcome and direction. The Receptionist will ensure that customers are made to feel welcome and will be confident in answering questions and dealing with enquiries. We have an exciting opportunity for a new Chief Instructor at Rock UK’s Carroty Wood centre in Tonbridge, Kent to start in September 2019. The Chief Instructor will lead, motivate and develop a team of high-quality instructors and trainees, ensuring best-practice and excellence in activity training and delivery. As a key member of the Centre Leadership Team, he/she will be able to clearly communicate our Christian ethos, objectives, mission and vision to staff and guests and have overall responsibility for the local management, delivery and development of the centre’s activity provision within an overall Rock UK activity framework.

The successful applicant will ideally need to hold the following qualifications: ML(S), RCI, BCU Coach and nationally recognised Mountain Biking Leader.

We are looking for an instructor who will be part of a team delivering a range of activities both in the climbing wall, around the Summit Centre site and off site making the most of the natural environment in the Brecon Beacons and Welsh Valleys. As part of the Summit Centre team you will be a role model for outstanding Christian service which constantly exceeds guest expectations. You will foster a positive and welcoming environment and be pro-active in developing relationships with the users of the centre, resolving customer issues and satisfying customers in various situations whilst delivering Rock UK’s trading and charitable objectives and sensitively demonstrating our Christian ethos.

You will need to be active in climbing and the outdoors generally, hold a full driving license and hold relevant NGB qualifications as listed in the person specification.
