Could you fundraise for Rock UK this year?

Choose Rock UK as your charity of choice for your next fundraising efforts!

It is through your kindness and generosity, that we see young lives transformed through outdoor adventures. As a not-for-profit charity, fundraising events help to create awareness for Rock UK and to raise vital funds, which means we can help more young people to have fun, learning and adventures at our centres. In this blog we provide tips about how to fundraise, fundraising ideas and how you can get involved in raising money for us.

Community fundraising is a great way to have fun with a group of friends and raise funds for a good cause. Whether you’re a first timer or a regular fundraiser, everybody needs a little inspiration sometimes.

Here are a few tips to get you underway:

1: Decide on your fundraising activity, for example, you could…

  • Take on an Adventure Challenge – climb, run, walk, row, the options are endless!
  • Run a Car Wash event
  • Host a Cake ‘n Cookies or an Arts & Crafts sale
  • Invite friends around for a Charity Fundraiser BBQ or Tea Party event – where you tell them all about our brilliant work and ask them to support us with a donation!

2: Set a date, time, venue and fundraising target

3: Set up an on-line fundraising page with Just Giving

4: Publicise your event, send out invitations to friends and family

5: If you haven’t set up an online fundraising page, remember to send your money to Rock UK using our donation form

6: Send out thank you messages, if possible, to all those who supported your fundraising

Thank you so much for your commitment to transform young lives through outdoor adventure. We really appreciate your hard work and dedication so, once you’ve completed your fundraising activity, we’ll send you a thank you letter and an update on the area of Rock UK work you have chosen to support e.g. Instructor Training Programme, Rock UK Bursary Fund and so on.

Let us know what you choose to do – we would love to support and encourage you. Why not send a photograph and a brief description of your event to supportus@rockuk.org – we would be delighted to hear all about your Rock UK fundraising event!
