Climbing Wall and Opening times

Our climbing centre has some of the highest indoor walls in South Wales, reaching 18m with an impressive overhang. There are over 120 routes that are reset regularly to keep you on your toes and auto belay is also available.  You can also challenge yourself and improve your technique in our bouldering area which is suitable for all abilities.

Climbing and Bouldering Price List

Prices below are for competent climbers only, where no instructor is required.

  • Adults – £8.00
  • Adults bouldering (only) – £6.50

Students and Concessions

  • Student – £7.00
  • Over 65 – £7.00

Children and Young People

  • Ages 12 – 17 years -£6.50
  • Ages 12 – 17 years bouldering – £5.00
  • Age 6 – 11 years -£5.00
  • Age 5 and under climbing and bouldering – £3.50 each

Friday night climbing from 6pm only £5.00pp

  • Under 12’s 10 climbs – £42 (no expiry)

Climbing Wall Opening Times

  • Monday to Friday : 10am – 10pm (Please note: Between 10am and 2pm – limited availability for lead climbing)
  • Weekends and bank holidays : 10am – 6pm

Summit Centre is closed for Christmas from Saturday 22nd December and will re-open on Tuesday 2nd January.

Group Climbing

You can climb with your own group at Summit Centre using your own qualified instructors or we can provide an instructor for you.

For instructed sessions each instructor will take a maximum of 8 climbers, with all equipment included. Please call to arrange a time for your group’s visit.

For groups providing their own instructors, the cost is £5 per person, with no equipment included. All external instructors need to provide proof of qualification, first aid and insurance.

Please call in advance and let us know how many are in your group and if you require equipment.

Schools, Youth Groups and Uniformed Organisations

Instructed Groups

  • £55 per hour of instruction for up to 8 people. All equipment included.

Self-instructed Groups

All external instructors need to provide proof of qualification, first aid and insurance.

£5 per person. No equipment included.

Climbing Courses

Adult Coaching

Meet and climb with more climbers in our relaxed Adult only coaching sessions. Lead by one of our climbing coaches, these sessions will aim to improve your climbing whatever your ability or confidence. Coaches will help in a number of areas appropriate to your goals, like technique, fitness, endurance and confidence and bounce ideas and tips from the rest of the group, aiming to help you achieve your potential and crush that route that has been bugging you for weeks! Please call ahead or ask at reception.

Price: Wall entry + £3.00
Times:  Friday 8:30—9:30 pm
Age: 16+

Only available for registered climbers. Non-registered climbers should attend Learn to Climb if not competent) Age 16+ eligible to attend with climbing wall supervisors permission.

Private Learn to Climb/Learn to Lead refreshers and coaching sessions can be arranged upon request.

Equipment can be hired.
