Discover Your Calling: Become an Outdoor Activity Instructor

Are you looking for more than just a “gap year job”? Do you crave adventure, growth, and impact? If so, Rock UK’s Instructor Training programme might be just what you’re searching for—and our Open Day is the perfect chance to see it in action.

Why Rock UK?

As a trainee instructor, you’ll step into a role that is as rewarding as it is challenging:

  • Residential training: you’ll live and learn alongside others who share your passion

  • On-the-job experience: you’ll lead and plan sessions in kayaking, climbing, archery, high ropes, and more!

  • Spiritual growth: workshops, Bible study, mentorship and encouraging relationships

  • Adventure placements: expect to train in places such as the Cairngorms (Scotland) and Gower or Snowdonia (Wales) at the centre you choose to continue your ITP journey.

  • Mission impact: in your second year, you’ll head to Lesotho for a mission outreach, running camps and partnering with local instructors.

You don’t need prior qualifications to join—what matters most is a heart for God, a love for the outdoors, and a willingness to serve and learn.

Rock UK covers accommodation, utilities, activity kit and food allowance during the programme – your key cost is personal expenses (travel, clothing, etc).
