2.10.2019 We are pleased to announce the appointment of David Locke as our new Chief Executive.
David Locke takes over from John Heasman who left Rock UK and joined CCT Conference Centres earlier in the summer.
David joins us from The Berkshire Schools Trust where he has been the Finance Director since 2016. He has also served as the Director of Finance at Bright Futures for Children, the Oxford Diocesan Schools Trust as Chief Operating Officer, the Baptist Union of Great Britain, BMS World Mission, Ernst & Young and KPMG. David has also served as a trustee at the Charities Aid Foundation.
He said: “I am delighted to have the opportunity to work with a great staff team. Rock UK is approaching 100 years of running outdoor activity centres and has an excellent reputation. My heart is to work with young people and through our centres to see them prepared and refreshed to face life’s challenges. Some great work has been underway and I’m looking forward to working with our strong team so that we can continue to develop and flourish in the years ahead.”
David took up his post as Chief Executive in early September.

Rock UK welcomes over 60,000 young people each year and our mission to transform young lives remains as relevant today as it did in 1922 when our organisation began.”
