Residentials for schools, church groups and youth organisations
Summit Centre is a purpose-built outdoor education centre in the Welsh Valleys, south of Merthyr Tydfil, with easy access to the Brecon Beacons. On site you will find impressive indoor climbing walls, bouldering, group accommodation, a café, outdoor play space and a man-made caving system, plus a wide range of adventurous activities on and off site.
We welcome primary and secondary schools, colleges, church groups and secular youth organisations. Programmes can be shaped around your aims, whether that is transition, resilience, leadership, teamwork, faith exploration or simply giving young people a chance to try something new in the outdoors. Residential adventure that grows confidence and character
At Summit Centre we run residentials that back up what you do in the classroom or youth club. Through a tailored mix of challenging, fun and engaging activities, our full-time team of experienced instructors invite young people to find out more about themselves.
Time outdoors, away from the usual routine, gives space to try new things. As they climb, paddle, explore and problem-solve together, they face fears, grow in confidence and build real self-esteem.
Our aim is simple: create memories for life, help bring out the best in every young person and use adventure to support their learning, wellbeing and faith or personal development.
